Weather in April

We are considering a 4/11 sailing to the Bahamas. For those of you who have been there during that time of year how is the weather and the water temps. I saw a few sights that said mid 70's. In your experience was it warm enough to swim?

It can be a bit chilly... if at the beach it would be cool to jump in and out of... snorkeling I would take advantage of a wetsuit.

We have been to the Bahamas twice in April- the swimming was fine for us- but cooler than St. Thomas, for instance.

 

The air temps were in the 80's when we were there, but the water temps were in the 70's. Refreshing? As Bob said, it can be chilly.
