Millennium Out of Venice-Safety Drill Timing

Once boarding the Millenium, how much time is available to go back into Venice the first day before the safety drill is scheduled? We had hoped to spend most of the afternoon sightseeing. We arrive in Venice at approxiamately 11:30 am the same day.How long does it take to get from the airport to the ship and do you recommend taking a taxi or using the ships transfer shuttle? Other recommendations?

I recommend the shuttle bus. It takes about 30 minutes to get to ship. Fire Drill is on 2nd day at about 3PM just before you depart Venice.

Gardner Girl,
I know you will enjoy the cruise. Bring your camera because after the drill the ship departs. You travel straight down the canal with the best view of Venice and Plaza San Marco and the Lido Beach.
When you arrive at the ship Celebrity has a shuttle boat that takes you to Plaza San Marco. It runs until approximately midnight and resumes the next morning.
