What do you wear on the plane?

Recommended Posts

Believe me, you don't want to be at the end of the slide in your bare feet.

It sure would beat NOT being at the end of the slide. :D

Seriously, I also stick with (mostly) natural fibers for that reason. That may make me paranoid, but I also have to take valium (or xanax) to fly, and I fly A LOT more than I would like to.

As for shoes, I always wear black leather loafer-type slip-ons.

We're flying from our home to LAX (about an hour and a half) and then from LAX to Incheon and Incheon to Auckland in the fall. That's 30+ hours on a plane! And it's on Korean Air, which last time I flew on them was HOT, HOT, HOT. Like 85 degrees! Both directions.

I usually fly wearing clothing more on the dressy side. This time I'm thinking about PJs. Just kidding, but really, WHAT DO I WEAR??? (Same question for the trip home except in reverse from Sydney instead of Auckland.)

Hi, those are cute:) Do they come in other colors?

I am one of those who does wear those

soft cotton slacks. You could say they are the bottoms

to the warmup suit people always talk about.

I guess many folks don't like that style?

Well, I like these pants, they feel good on me and are

very soft:)

For any of you who know Sports Savy from QVC, it is

that brand.

And yes, I wear closed toe open back slides too.

Or would that be a mule?

I always wear long pants and also bring a warm jacket

with me. Its not heavy either, easy to carry and comfortable

too.

I am flying from Florida to Seattle, Washington in September

and comfort is definitely the key. 5 hours fly time........

What kind of shoes is everyone suggestiong?

I always wear heels, mules or slip on. Granted my feet will hurt by the time I get to my destination but I have to wear heels of some sort. I am really, really short.:o

I often wear my Donald Pliner Jildor western mules to travel. I bought my first pair about 8 years ago and bought two more last year at end of the season sales. They look great with jeans and slacks and are very comfy. And they are staples for me for fall travel.

Yes they have about 4 colors I think - black, natural, and I think a brown. These are the Clarks Artisan group - you can see them on Zappos - or the Clarks site. And I don't know what to call them - I hate the term "mules" :p but I guess that would apply. As much as I like these, I have a very hard time wearing this type of shoe - they just will not stay on my feet unless I wear big ol' thick socks. :(

Gee, am I stupid? Here I thought summer was only in my neck of the woods.

I was questioning wearing bared toes in the cool air at the pier near the water. It's always cooler and windy near the ship.

Of course you can never predict the weather this far in advance, but I've been to Seattle several times in early summer and sandals were fine. Even close to the water.
