mandyc3383 Posted May 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2008 I have never taken a cruise before and am very curious about something. Why are prices for rooms at the lowest deck of the ship cheapest and why do the prices increase as the deck level increases, even though the rooms are still within the same category? Is it because the higher up you are, you are closer to the action? Is there any actual difference in the rooms? Also, has anyone stayed on the Victory, Verandah level, rooom 8210 or that floor? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!
montekat Posted May 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2008 There really is no difference in categories as you go higher on the decks. A 4A is the same as an 4C, etc. You are just paying more for a higher deck. You have a great location, between 2 decks of cabins and just a short walk up to the Lido Deck. Your cabin is far forward so you may feel more movement however.
mom2girls Posted May 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2008 No, there's no difference to the rooms in the same category. It's just that many people like the higher level floors. And, as you guessed many people want to be closer to the action. So, that is why the price is higher.
