Charleston

Recommended Posts

We were in Charleston, South Carolina in March and had lunch at a lovely restaurant right on the water. We had been driving around & this was the first place we saw that had parking:) . Pier was in the name...we think! Any ideas? Thanks.

Were you in the downtown area? Near the Market area.... do you remember what street you were on? Was it a river/bay/ocean? Near a marina? Just trying to get some more info. Did you go over the big bridge into Mt. Pleasant and visit the Shem Creek area? Did you go West Ashely to California Dreaming?

We drove down from Pawleys Island and walked all over the downtown area then drove around until we found a place to park:eek: ! It was near a marina & you could eat outside & we saw a freighter go by. Thanks for the tips. We will look for Shem Creek and West Ashley. Probably not find the restaurant, but that's ok I'm sure we will find another:D

Ok with the freighter go by you were not on the Ashley River, so not in West Ashley (as that is west of the Ashley River - which if standing at the tip of the peninsula that makes up downtown Charleston would be on the left and the Cooper River would be on the right). You most likely were on the Cooper River side. There is a marina area that also has the Aquarium and other exhibits near it. That is on the upper part of the peninsula. I don't know the eateries there.

Did you go over any bridges from being downtown and walking around before you found the place?

Could it have been Fleet Landing restaurant off of East Bay St.?
