What ships will leave from NYC in 2009?

Just wondering if anyone has any information on which lines and which ships will depart from NYC in 2009? Thanks!:D

Try a Travelocity search with New York and Bayonne as the departure ports.

Unfortunately very few as both Cunard and Holland America have dramatically cut back on their New York departures.

NCL (various ships) out of Manhattan year round, RCCL Explorer out of Bayonne NJ year round, Caribbean Princess out of Brooklyn during the summer, Carnival out of Manhattan during the summer

 

Cunard for transatlantics during the winter

And possibly HAL for Canada/New England sailings (but I'm not certain about this one)

Friend of ours who is a part time travel agent/retired school teacher/current special instructor and who had a group on the Noordam recently in Jan 2008 says that HAL is cutting back on NYC departures because they don't make enough revenue going from NYC down to the Caribbean, considering the fuel cost.

 

Translation, not enough boozers, partiers etc.

 

But this is HAL. Lots of revelers on RCI, Princess, Carnival,NCL. :D

Actually, word is that HAL is cutting down on the NYC to Caribbean runs because it costs too much money for fuel with 2 sea days down and 2 sea days back. That leaves no ship doing a Caribbean cruise out of NYC in the winter. HAL's Eurodam will be doing a couple of NYC to Canada cruises in the fall of 08 and 09, but I'm looking for warm weather in the winter.
