Green Card and Re-Entry Permit for NCL Dawn

My sister's boyfriend really wants to go on NCL Dawn this Thanksgiving. He is a non-US Citizen but has a valid Green Card and Re-Entry Permit. I have been calling a few TAs and even NCL, but no one has given me a straight answer. We want to book the cruise soon, but waiting for what documentation he needs to go on this cruise. Are these documents valid for his travel or does he need anything else. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

What country does he hold his passport from? You still must show proof of citizenship. Depending on the country a passport is all that is needed. However, some require a passport with the visa. The Re-entry permit should cover that to get back to the US but you need to make sure that the country/countries that you will visit on the cruise will allow entry based on his citizenship. It would be best to contact the consulate of the country he is from and tell them where he is going. They can advise him of the proper documentation. Most major US cities has several consulates: ie, NY, DC, Chicago and LA.

My husband travels in and out of the country quite frequently. He has his British passport and his Resident Alien (green card that isn't green) issued here in the states. As long as this guy has a passport and his card he'll be fine. If it will make him feel better, he can call the immigration office in his city.
