maytojuly Posted May 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Am I able to cash traveller's cheques once on board Mariner OTS? We will be coming from the UK and don't travel with much cash or use credit card. Cash is mainly for port stops to buy souveneirs etc. thanks, June

disneyfand Posted May 21, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Where can you get American Express Travelers Checks? and how are they backed if lost or stolen? I got ours at our local credit union. When I was looking for them I saw they are avail. at Wells Fargo, B of A, Wa Mu, etc. They give you a recept of the serial numbers of the checks. If they are lost you call AE and give them the #'s. Usully no charge. I was only charged 1%( didn't belong to that credit union). And no charge for cashing them that I am aware of.
lablvr2 Posted May 22, 2008 #11 Share Posted May 22, 2008 Does anyone know about the Travelers Cheque debit card? My CU said they were coming up soon when I bought the paper cheques this past cruise. I think that would be a little easier to use????
