Egypt during the hot months--tell me!

We are planning our dream trip to Egypt--the most convenient time for us to travel is June or July. I know it's hotter than hell but we are planning first class hotels (AC plus pools) and a 7 night cruise (AC plus pool)

 

I want to hear from people who have visited Egypt during the hot months. Is it unbearable? If we tour during mornings and lounge in afternoons, is it bearable? Would you do it again?

We were in Egypt for 2 weeks in March, 2006. Cairo was wonderful. The upper Nile was warm. Abu Simbel was nearly 100 and that was March.
