Signature Baggage Service for MIA?

I have a question about the HAL Signature Baggage Service. We're are finding that the airfares are looking better if we use MIA rather than FLL. Ft. Lauderdale is one of the ports listed for the Signature Baggage Service, but I recently saw a thread that someone couldn't use the service since their flight was from MIA, not FLL. HAL offers shore ex/transfers to MIA, so it seems like it should be available. It has been a LONG time since I've cruised from Florida (1994). Does anyone have more recent experience? We'd rather not have to deal with baggage at all.

and the young lady I spoke with stated that the service is not available for MIA departures.

 

Further ... allow, she said, 5 hours before expected flight departure ex MIA, with the earlies advisable flight being 1PM.

 

Port Everglades to MIA transfers, per our telecon, are $26/person (one way).
