Coco Cay, Bahamas What is New??? since 1996

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if the islanders sell stuff on this stop anymore? I have not been at this port since 1996, and I do know it was a good beach day, but what about the reefs, any storm damage like other ports? Is there any shaded areas to sit on the beach or around the beach. We are doing a large group cruise mostly with adults age range 30 and over up to 85. I just don't know what to expect this time. We are going in the month of December. Any help would be great!!!!

There is a straw market type place, wide open, nice people, not like the hell on earth straw market in Nassau. I was there May '07. I do remember some shade, didn't notice any storm damage, but that was my first time there.

The place where you snorkel from, that beach, has a LOT of palm trees on the beach part now. When I was there in 2005, there were only a couple, the rest was wide open beach. Not sure if there had been a storm and they got taken down or what, but they planted a ton between 2005 - 2008.
