melissa_bel Posted October 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2004 Great pics Krotzie! How did you find Dominica? Did you book your tour independently? I'm very excited about visiting the island... I'm sure it's going to be the highlight of the cruise.
krotzie Posted October 10, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted October 10, 2004 when we got off the pier. I found a guy who goes by Mr. Joy. He put us with his boy Tony. $25 a piece for 3 1.2 hours. He was great. Did whatever we wanted. There was 6 of us and a 4 yr. old. DId bot charge for the child. Had a PA in hos van and told us all about the island. It was one of the hi-lites of the trip

Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted October 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Thanks for the pictures, we do this same route on the Golden on 10/24 and I can't wait. What did you do in Isla Margarita? I can't wait to read your trip report.
krotzie Posted October 11, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Isla margarita... all we did was just get off the ship and go to the beach that was like 200 yards from the boat. You can rent chairs. Nothing to write home about. Beach was not the greatest. They do have a bunch of local vendors right on the pier., along with music and a bar, I have heard the island is pretty, but you have to be back on the ship at 12:30. The beach is not even close the beaches you will experience everywhere else. If you want to explore, either go through the ship tours, or get off early.
