best place to eat in Cozumel

We are looking for authentic mexican eats in Cozumel. Can anyone recomend a place?????

Pancho's is wonderful . . . the best I've ever had, in fact. It's a beautiful indoor/outdoor restaurant. It has a terrace with fountains and it's located downtown near the shops.

I agree that Pancho's is very good, but can be quite busy on cruise ship days. As an alternative, try Sonora Grill, or for Yucatecan cuisine in a humble home, Sabores. Sabores is lunch only served from noon until 4pm. Sonora Grill is open all day and well into the night.

There were 2 ships in port the day we ate at Panchos. There were only 4 tables taken, so it was quite empty. Lots of people hit up bars and other places closer to the pier.

I've read, and heard so many good comments about the restaurant at PARADISE BEACH, I'm going to try it for lunch while I'm in Coz.

Not familiar with Panchos....La Choza would be my recommendation...their Avacado Pie is out of this world and to die for...

 

Los Gavalones is cool as they have flaming coffee....which is a site to behold...they also have plantans flambe....or mangos...if that would be your choice...

I can't imagine going to Cozumel and not eating at Poncho's. It is behind a wonderful gift and sourvenior (spelling) shop. Whether it's just drinks or a meal the place is great with wonderful atmosphere. NMNita

We just got back had lunch at Pancho's on Thursday. Everything was wonderful. great food, drinks and atmosphere. We took lots of pictures of the outdoor garden area

I agree with Sally. Sabores would be my number one choice. I just love that place. Some of the best food around not just the best mexican food. Casa Denis would be number two. Yummy creme of avocado soup!

Is Sabores difficult to find?

Not at all. From the waterfront right downtown, find Pizza Hut. On Pizza Hut Street (Calle 3) walk away from the ocean one block. Turn right, walk half a block, Sabores is on the right.
