Besides a general tour....what is there?

We have done a general tour of Bridgetown. Cannot decide what to do there this time. Any suggestions? In ship's tours, we usually choose mild/moderate types.

Why not try one of the Catamarans. That will give you a different perspective of the island. Silver moon, Shasa and Small Cats are mentioned often on this board.

Im just the opposite of you, I have been to Barbados 3x and never done a tour, Im thinking about actually seeing the interior of the island on my Jan visit.

He left the ship and went to the pier. A friend had tipped us off to walk PAST the taxi's and tour operators to the shuttle bus to downtown. It was $3 per person. Once you get there, there are taxi's there as well, but not "sanctioned pier operators" so they offer tours at a big reduced rate!

We had a FABULOUS day running everywhere, seeing everything, drinking local beer and chasing monkeys for about $25 each.

It was the day after Christmas, officially "boxing day" in Barbados so nothing was open. But we sure had a great time! :D

The Atlantis Submarine charter is also a fun short trip. We took our daughters and they had a blast. You are tendered to the submarine and then board. We went down to 145 feet and had great views of healthy coral reefs and a shipwreck. I highly recommend this excursion. You can book through the ship or on your own. Try to get the first trip out, if you can. You'll have a lot of time afterward to hit the beach or tour by taxi.

Good Idea, Eric!

There's so much to do at Barbados!
