Thanks for the great review. You mentioned you did walk off disembarkation. Were you allowed to use the elevators with your luggage? I read on these boards that you must carry all luggage, even down stairs.

 

 

 

Yes, we were able to use the elevators. If you wait until closer till 7:30am, it's hard to find an empty elevator that you will fit into with your luggage. Don't get down there too early, because the people who got there early were in the back of the dining room, and were actually the last of the walk-offs to disembark. We went down at about 7:20am, and got off pretty quickly.

Thank you for a great review. We too are on the June 22 sailing and your review increases my excitement. I have a quick question. My boarding pass says that we can board the ship at 1:00. However, I noticed that you boarded at noon. Is 1:00 just the official time but they let people board earlier if cabins are ready?

 

Yeah, 1:00pm is the official time, I guess incase they're not ready yet. They started calling numbers right when my watch hit noon. They started with 30, and they got to our number (36) within a matter of minutes :D

I loved your happy positive review - I can see from the pics that the two of you are happy positive people - it makes travelling lots more fun if you have a good attitude.

 

I loved the photo album, was it difficult to do? I've bookmarked that website and plan to look into in for my future pictures. Thanks again, we're a family of 4 that is really looking forward to our CB cruise this summer.:D

 

Shutterfly photobooks are incredibly easy. Click on backgrounds, pick a pre-designed layout for each page and just drag and drop your pictures. If you need any help with it, I'd be glad to help you out :D

You might want to ask this question in a thread about the Sea Princess (CP). The Sea is a very different ship design and size from the Caribbean Princess (CB).

:) Sabrina, we enjoyed meeting you and sitting next to you at Sterlings. You and Brett are so sweet. Good luck to you both! I agree with your review. It was the most fabulous ship we've been on and I'm hooked on Princess. The seafood buffets were incredible.

After you board call the DINE line on your cabin phone and book it for the night of the cruise that you want.

They only do about 4 a night so book ASAP. :)

My sister was there and she said the woman acted like it was no big deal. I won a small amount and was thrilled. The slots were not as tight as I thought they would be. :D

Carmel was $38 from Manhattan to Pier 12. From Pier 12 to LaGaurdia it was $45 but well worth it. One couple next to us used another company (can't remember the name) and they never showed up.

You call room service - they handle the reservation. You need to call right when you get on the ship. Like I mentioned, we found out there is only 2 per night offered and it fills up quickly. We called within 2 or 3 hours of being on board and they only had 2 nights left.

Sabrett ~ thank you so much for a wonderful review plus pictures of your Caribbean Princess cruise!:) The album that you used is terrific! I might try it out sometime. Loved the way you organized your photos and the neat descriptions of who, what and where. Very, very good! Bet you are so glad that you have your next cruise figured out. Sure makes leaving a ship a tiny bit easier.

Just out of interest did Princess not offer shuttles on the last day to the airport ? We don't know whether we should book a car before hand to JFK or go with Princess (they tend to be more expensive?).

They did have transfers, but decided to do find our own transportation since it was cheaper. My wife's parents had used Carmel before so I felt pretty safe and now feel safe recommending it to others.
