Suggestions to improve all-passenger events/parties

Recommended Posts

Not sure why this just came to mind but one place Regent needs a lot of improvement is in the Captain's Welcome and the deck parties.

The theater is not a good place for the welcome event because everyone comes in and sits down in various places around the theater. The welcome event should be the in atrium or maybe, weather permitting, on deck, where everone can mingle and wander around (and the ladies can show off their fancy dresses, etc.).

Regent needs to hire lighting consultants to design pleasant lighting for the pool deck during parties/dances, rather than just turning on the glaring floodlights mounted up on the smoke stack. etc. Most Regent cruisers need all the subtle lighting we can get  One nighttime dance event looked like something out of the "Night of the Living Dead".... and it wasn't even Halloween.

I wish that they would have their pool deck evening dinner/barbeque earlier on in the cruise rather then later as people really seemed to loosen up after that and relax, and mingle. On our March Caribbean cruise, several people remarked on that evening that they loved the pool deck dinner/barbeque idea and wished they had more of them and at the beginning of the cruise.
