halo0428 Posted June 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2008 Do cruises give discounts for children? I will be traveling with a 3 yo and a 1 yo. I can't seem to find any discount options when I conduct my search. Please advise. Thanks!

I can't seem to find any discount options when I conduct my search. Please advise. Thanks! Normally, the discount would be that they would be considered the 3rd and 4th passenger in your stateroom, so their fare will be lower priced than passenger 1 and 2. Sometimes, you will find lines that are running specials where kids travel for $99 ~ I believe NCL did kids travel for $1 recently. Keep in mind, these rates would be on select itineraries. When my youngest was an infant, it seems that Disney Cruise Line charged $99 for children under 1. Hope this helps!:)
calikak Posted June 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2008 NCL only charges the taxes and port fees for kids under 2, and MSC does a lot of kids-sail-free discounts. And I think Disney also has a discount for very young kids.
CeleBrat Posted June 21, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2008 When our kids were infants, were only charged port taxes for our kids. It was usually less than $100. Costa and MSC now run Kids Sail Free promotions on their caribbean cruises. We have done Costa twice and are trying MSC next year. You can't really beat the price! NCL also just recently ran a KIDS FREE promotion, but you had to book by a certain date on the Norwegian Sky only. Hope that helps!
