Transfers in Barcelona...And more questions

Recommended Posts

We are traveling to Barcelona in July as a group of 13 people and will be staying there for 3 nights prior to sailing on the NCL Gem. We have not yet arranged for transfers from the airport to the hotel (Hispanos 7 Suiza) and from the hotel to the port. The hotel recommended using CARS-CALIPODES as the transfer company. Has anyone ever either used this company, or heard of them? If not, any suggestions are welcome. We have set up all excursions with Rome in Limo as they have incredible reviews. We are looking for a company such as this in Barcelona.

Some other information I am looking for...

Has any one used the hop on hop off bus, Barcelona card, toured Girona, or Montserrat? Please provide details!

I can't wait to read all suggestions!!!!! Keep them coming!:)

HOHO Bus - Great way to see the city. €20/person for 1 day, €26 for 2 days. It can get very busy (eg queue 300 yds long) at the Placa De Catalunya where the red and blue routes meet, but there are plenty of buses. They start around 9am, so I would recommend you get there at that time.

Monserrat - Easy to do on your own. Get the metro to Placa d'Espanya, then the R5 train to Monserrat. If you use the cable car, you need to get off at Monserrat Aeri (this is shown as Monserrat A on the in train display). If you are using the rack railway, get off at Monistrol. The green rack train will be waiting for you at the end of the platform. Recommend the Trans or Tot Monserrat ticket, then everything is paid for. More info at
