Keryel Posted June 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2008 We're figuring out those last few details and have a couple questions... Is there a way to get cash aboard? Specifically, are there ATM machines or other ways to get cash? How about at the casino? I'm assuming all onboard purchases will go on our SeaPass, correct? As far as islands go (Western Carribean: Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Labadee), what is the best plan for purchases (US dollars, travelers checks, debit cards?). Thanks for your help!:D
chrisaf Posted June 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2008 I was on Freedon 6/1-6/8. When we wanted extra cash, you can just give them your sea pass in the casino and they will give you cash, (or chips if you wanted to use it in the casino). It will show up on your final bill and credit card (card that you used) as "Entertainment". As far as purchases in ports - small purchases were done with cash and anything larger was done with American Express. That way, if there was any problem with the purchase once we were home, Amex would stand behind you if there was ever a dispute. Hope this helps! cb at sea Posted June 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2008 Bring some cash--if you use the ATM, you will incur charges.
karena1 Posted June 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2008 We used cash in Jamaica and Cozumel. In Caymans we used our CC. Great store in GC where we got really inexpensive liquor. Used our CC there.
