Celebrity Cruisers Try Princess (A Long Review)

Marlee and Rich, I've just had to tear myself away from your photo albums. The photos and captions are fabulous...absolutely captivating to me! Thank you for sharing them, as well as your excellent cruise review.

Rich ~ what an excellent comparison! It was so smooth and easy to read. I really enjoyed reading the comparison details that you provided. Princess and Celebrity are the only ships we have sailed on and we love both lines. Best wishes to you and Marlee. We wish her a speedy recovery. Sounds like she has a wonderful doctor. You two sound like a wonderful couple.:)

We are not the cruise experts that many of you are, but in our limited experience with these two lines we found the service to be better on the Caribbean Princess than on the Celebrity Constellation. On the Caribbean P the stewart seemed to be standing outside the door of our (balcony) stateroom every time we exited and we joked that we had our own private butler. Mind you, we had no complaints about the Constellation service either but the stewart did not seem to be always there at our door.

 

We liked the Princess buffets in the Horizon Court much better than Celebrity's and also like the fact that HC is open 24 hours.

 

In the Anytime Dining rooms you can always ask to be seated in the same waiter's section so they do get to know you.

 

We realize that service can vary from ship to ship and from cruise to cruise, so in that spirit we fully intend to investigate further. Can't wait until our March '08 Grand Princess cruise!!!!!
