Carnival Freedom Cabin Question...

We are researching a cruise on Carnival's Freedom for next year. As this is a fairly new ship, I was wondering if anyone has come across a list yet of cabins that may show which ones are best - which ones do you hear alot of noise - which ones have obstructed views and so forth.

We usually go with a guaranteed cabin, and have always been placed in great room. As this cruise will be 8 days, I just don't want to get stuck in a "bad" cabin and be miserable.

If I am assigned a cobin with a guarantee, can we still change it before the sail date?

Anyone have some tips for me?

Freedom is the same, basically, as the other Conquest Class ships, except for a few new amenities...:)

They are all nice ships... I prefer the Spirit Class for 'ease of movement', but have sailed on the Liberty and am booked on the Freedom for December 2009!:D

Any cabin on a cruise ship, is better than a day at work! ;)

I see you sailed the Glory-- Freedom will be laid out exactly like the Liberty. The names of the public rooms are changes as is the decor--but everything else.....

If booking a guarantee rate--- its very rare that the cruiselines will make changes--kinda defeats the purpose of a guarantee. If it could be done I am sure many people will be booking that way jsut to take a chance.

On deck 5 across the isle from the casino bar a band sets up after 9pm. You dont want a cabin above that area.

On the deck 5 aft there are lounges-- you do NOT wnt a cabin above the stage area of these lounges... being above the seating area is fine. So a few cabins on the side-aft are not good choices.

Lido deck--under the pool area you might hear scraping of chairs.

you also want to avoid cabins under the kitchen areas at the buffet.

  • 5 years later...

To Amelia's list, add 8336 It is directly under an area of the Lido deck where there are chairs and tables constantly being moved - and an area that gets a lot of attention from the middle of the night cleaning crews....so there is constant scraping and moving of chairs and tables overhead.... :/
