Laundry Costs

RCI lists laundry service at nominal rates. Has anyone had laundry done? How were the rates? My teenage sons will run through far more clothing than can be reasonably packed! :rolleyes:

Their rate for pants is the same as my local dry cleaner.

We also use the laundry service -- not to much $$$ - and you save time when you get home--- no dirty laundry to do!:D

I think we'll end up using it also. Extra baggage fees are just too hard to swallow when there's a reasonable alternative.

Some ships are also having a $20 bag special, Mariner had it on our June 15th cruise. On Wednesday night, a bag was left on the bed that you could stuff with t-shirts, shorts, undies, etc. They picked up the bags Thursday morning and returned clean clothes Friday night. Just wash and fold, no iron and only specific items, any item not on the allowed list would be cleaned at regular rates.

 

We thought it was a great option but didn't need to use it as after a careful review, we had plenty of everything we needed.

We also had this offered twice on our 14 night Serenade cruise - I think we almost broke the world record of how many items you could stuff into the bag!
