pjhinder Posted July 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Will be in Barbados for a full day with Father-in-Law on his 70th birthday. Any suggestions? He's happy to walk but not too adventurous.
Aplmac Posted July 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Lunch at either Atlantis or Round House -over on the East Coast! In the process of getting there you'll do a cross-sectional drive of the island so you'll get to see a lot! If Atlantis is closed for awhile as I've been hearing lately BONITO Restaurant in the same area is an alternative although Round House has the views.. ______________________________________________ Here's Round House as you walk in.. ____________________________________________ and the view from the lunch balcony at Atlantis if you make it there.. ________________________________________ and a view of Atlantis sitting on Tent Bay as seen from the hill above! it's the bldg. with the two blue balconies. __________________________________________________

Aplmac Posted July 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 3, 2008 Just had a quick visit from a local lady who asked.. "You guys haven't eaten at Round House yet?? Their food is great especially the fish, and it's reasonably priced, too" So now you know. I may have to do the sampling thing sometime soon. Duty calls! :D __________________________________________________ Here's another view of the Round House scene, out front.. __________________________________________________ -and their gorgeous view out back! __________________________________________________________

Sarah Taylor Posted September 3, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2008 I totally agree with aplmac Round house is an excellent choice for a 70 Birthday..................... Don't forget to ask for the brownies with the hot fudge sauce and ice cream. I could do with some right now I have been at home sick in bed yesterday all day with a 102 fever.
