Aplmac Posted August 16, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2008 Please share info!! ------------ My ship is in port from 4:00 a.m. to midnight!! Gosh..you've got me curious, and now I'm asking you to share info! I live on the island and take lots of ship pics for my website at.. http://www.angelfire.com/wizard2/cncisland/bigships/btown.html and even though your ship at 4 a.m.(well before sunrise) and leaving at midnight(no light then either except for sexy night shots -if I can stay up that late) I'd love to know what ship you're on, and what date Maybe I can catch your ship something like this... This is Ocean Village Two, incidentally -we'll be cruising her in a month's time :)

airlink diva Posted August 18, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 18, 2008 No problem on anwering your question Aplmac. I'm sailing on the Maasdam. We are in port from 4:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. With the exception of my Fascination cruise to Nassau, this is the longest time I ever had in a port. We are there so long because right in the middle of our cruise, Holland America is offering a 14 day round trip from Barbados cruise. I guess that this gives the people on the ship port time and the new arrivals plenty of time to board. HAL is doing this for several sailings, so look for the Maasdam to be in port late! Happy sailing!!
lobster129 Posted March 8, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 8, 2009 It was a 5 hour tour at $33 pp. (advertised at 3-4 hours) Cameron AND DRIVER picked us up in an air conditioned van at 9 AM.....back about 2PM. We liked having a guide and a driver! Cameron was very informative We went to the Mount Gay Rum distillery guided tour , $ 7.00 pp...including rum tasting of their all their various offerings. A guided tour of Sunbury plantation house $ 7.50 pp plus some Scenic drives of B'town ( city ) St John's church (no charge, cool old church with wonderful scenic views), Chimborazo , Cave Hill and back to the Port." Several stops for photo ops in addition. Cameron never rushed us at any of the stops and were free to explore each stop at a leisurely pace. Any request was "no problem". He was very informative and seemed able to answer all of our questions Would recommend! Also we paid at the end of our tour. (our adult kids did a tour with Glory Tours and their credit card was charged up front plus and exchange fee)
