I know they are on different decks, but is there a difference in size of the room or balcony. We sailed in a upper deck balcony in June on the Valor. Looking at cruises next year, but will have to have our 10 year old in the cabin with us. So trying to figure out what will work the best. Anybody seen the sq ft of Carnival balcony rooms?

They are 220 sq. ft. and they are all the same size...for the most part until you get to cat 11 and cat 12. As far as balcony, sometimes it's a 9A that has the big wrap balcony, sometimes those are cat 11...depends on the ship. But all the cat 8's are about the same size. You may see an occasional larger size based on location but it's not a huge difference.

We managed fine with a 15 and 17 year old with us in a standard balcony. It was a bit crowded but not a big deal since we were not in the room a lot. The balcony gave us just enough extra room. The worst time was packing and unpacking. That part was a bit ugly:eek:

Balcony cabins are appx 185 sq ft. The balcony itself is about 40sq ft for standard and 60 sq ft for extended.

Other than location most of them are pretty much the same.
