SY Balcony Question for S7S

Hi all HAL Oosterdam experienced cruisers (S7S if available). We will be going on the Oosterdam for the first time in September to Alaska (previously on Veendam and Statendam). I have not sailed on a Vista class ship before and wonder about the balcony.

 

We are in an SY cabin mid-ship. Looking at the pictures the mid-ship balconies are set back from the front and rear balconies (I hope someone gets what I am referring to). Does this hamper your balcony views looking to the front and rear and by how much? I like to look over the side and see where I am going and coming from.

What is an S7S ? I have no idea what you are talking about. An SY is a very nice cabin and you will enjoy it.

I know what you are talking about.

We always stay in an SA - located on the Rotterdam deck above the SY cabins.

The view is not blocked by the projection of the front and aft sections of the ship.

I've just how seen this thread and agree with all the others.

 

That is a really nice cabin. We have viewed it several times and think it looks to be very comfortable.
