Martita B. Posted July 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2008 Can anyone reccommend a boutique hotel in Venice near the San Basilio cruise terminal? We need 2 rooms for one evening before our cruise in June 2009. Thanking you in advance! Martita B.

localady Posted July 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2008 We have booked the Antiche Figure for 2009. We were very impressed with the Tripadvisor reviews as well as the ease of getting to and from Pizzalle Roma and the cruise terminal.

Piazzale Roma is not near the San Basilio pier. It's by the Maritima pier. This is a pretty good link to have, gives lots of information. The folks put a lot of work into creating it. http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/venice-cruise-terminal-hotels-san-basilio.htm

Martita B. Posted July 11, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Thanks for all the great hotel suggestions! I'll be boarding the new Seabourn Odyssey for her Maiden voyage and I'm assuming she'll berth at the San Basilio terminal instead of terminal Venezia Passeggeri as it's used by larger mega vessels. I've sent several e-mails to hotels near the San Basilio area and hopefully will find a boutique hotel to our liking. Thanks again! Martita B.
