Viking--april 2009 Antwerp-Basel

Well, we did it--booked today for April 19th on Viking for Antwerp to Basel. We are using FF miles to go from Ohio to Brussels. Will train to Antwerp a day early and stay at the Hilton (award points). After Basel we are going to Zurich for 4 nites--hopefully at a Best Western again award points. Yes, we are being frugal with our travel money. Just by putting as much as possible on crdeit cards, we tend to get pre and post stay for the price of breakfast. We had originally looked at Uniworld for this trip, but Viking started in a city we've never visited. We have seen just about everything in Amsterdam--so didn't want more days there. One day with Viking and we will go on our own to the wonderful Kuekenhof gardens. It all boils down to ITINERARY. In this day of the weak US$, I don't think many of us will pick a cruise line because that's the one we always use. Hope to meet some CC on board. Pat
