runner15km Posted January 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2009 If you are in shape and can take the heat it's a few miles from the pier or $5.00 p/p ea way by cab.
jean-lynd Posted January 16, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted January 16, 2009 or you can grab the bus for $2.50/person. I walked the beach every morning almost all the way to the pier and it was nice early in the morning because the beach was shaded by the buildings. It would probably be too hot for the return trip though. I hope this helps! Enjoy!

caribsun Posted January 16, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Which bus do you take? You pick it up at the pier? The bus looks like a large van along the main routes. The bus depot is next to the library - across from the Hero's Square Fountain. Walk about two blocks inland on Edward St.... You can grab a bus at the library... much cheaper than a cab. The buses are parked and waiting right next door... a short 5 minute walk from the dock. $2.50 US per person rather than $5 US or more for a cab. To hail one, respond with a wave when the driver toots his horn.
