cruiserman64 Posted July 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2008 These 4 Irish woman went shopping and missed the ship's departure in Iraklion, Crete. The captain waited 2 hours for them and then left. All of a sudden a tug arrived with the 4 woman and transferred them to our ship.
cusyl Posted July 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2008 LOL, I bet that's the last time they are late for departure. Wonder what they had to pay for that trip back to the ship. I wouldn't be able to climb a rope ladder like that.
Rare Morgsmom Posted July 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2008 That was an amazing first hand view! I saw a couple once on a speedboat racing back to our ship in St. Thomas but couldn't see exactly how they re-entered. What a humiliating experience it must have been -- though these ladies didn't look exactly panic stricken.
Cathys Cruising Posted July 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2008 All I can say is WOW...... hope they got some good bargains shopping to make up for whatever they had to pay to catch up with the ship! Cathy

Bette And Bill Posted July 31, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2008 I have seen people running but never have I seen them come after the ship and do a transfer. Did you see them afterward?
maria1122 Posted August 2, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 2, 2008 Personally I think they should have been left there. Really 2 hours late, come on. I could see a few minutes late.
cruiserman64 Posted August 10, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Didn't see them on the ship afterwards. They might have been keeping a low profile.
Wild Thing ~T Posted September 22, 2008 #9 Share Posted September 22, 2008 Didn't see them on the ship afterwards. They might have been keeping a low profile. Thanks for sharing! We actually saw this same thing happen on our first Mexican Riviera cruise on RCCL. We were leaving out of Mazatlan and here came a tug with 4 intoxicated young guys and an older guy that looked like their grandfather! Poor old guy had to climb the rope ladder! OMG!! But is was fun to watch them ALL climb aboard! Made me think twice about missing the ship! We have come close a couple of times!
