How Do We Kill Time

I have finally found a very good price on an airline ticket to San Juan. It goes into New York JFK. The problem is... it arrives at 11:38 PM and does not depart until the next morning (get this) at 6:45 A.M. 7hrs. What in the world are they thinking? It will arrive in SJU the morning of the cruise at 11:26 a.m. I understand the cruise does not leave until that night at about 10pm. Now I was wondering if we should leave the day before (Fri), and when we arrive in SJ just check into a hotel. I have always received very good advice from the board, and would really appreciate your help with this.

Let's see. Getting to SJ a day early (see the city, hit the beach)... or spend the night in the airport or a hotel in NY?

I'd say leaving Friday sounds like the way to go.

Who was your TA Stevie Wonder? (LOL)Did you actually save enough on airfare to make up for hotel, food, taxis, ect? SJ can be very pricey, of course there is always McDoo, Taco Bell, BK. The drinks in the casino hotels are $7-10, no free drinks at the tables. I think embarkation begins at 2, get there at noon. Have a great time.

Sounds like the flight arrival time is perfect .... 11:30 am... By the time you get your bags, you'll be on one of the first buses to the terminal. If it's not quite check in time, leave your bags with the porter, go to the casino/hotel directly across the street, and wait for time to board. Then eat for free on the ship and get the party started!

I found something with a better route and a good rate. Besides, NYC at that time of year!!!! We are from Las Vegas, and playing around in NYC in Feb, would not be our idea of fun; interesting but maybe not fun. Talk about a culture shock. Thanks again.
