How do you link B2B cruises together?

Recommended Posts

Can only tell you how it works on Royal Caribbean, but I assume it will be the same on your cruise. They will send you info in yoiur cabin telling on where to meet and aproximately what time. Someone lead you off the ship. After you go through customs they will lead you back on.

Have a great b2b!!!!!!!

Are these Back to Back cruises? meaning that you stay on the same ship and hopefully, the same cabin?? If so, your travel agent should have done this when you made your reservations. Do you have your booking #'s ?? Unless this is the TA's "group space" you should be able to go into your personal profile and view your info. Don't know exactly how you do this on the Princess site but can't be difficult. If you are sailing on two DIFFERENT ships,

they also should be "linked" but you will need to "disembark" and "board" again

and be issued new ID's and cruise charge cards.

It's immigartion you go through between the 2 cruises if you are on the same ship.

If you are on 2 different ships then you have to go through immigration and customs.

I sailed on back-to-back cruises on the Crown Princess in January 2008. I stayed in the same cabin both weeks. They gave me extensive instructions on how it was going to work via paperwork in my room. I actually got a different ID card both weeks.

What they did was have all of us who were back to back meet in a particular area of the ship -- if we were staying in the same room, we didn't have to pack up our stuff. We then went through Customs on board and were led off the ship to a large "holding area" inside a building. We had to wait there for what seemed like FOREVER, and then they let us back on the ship.

Don't hesitate to ask at the purser's desk if you have questions. I just LOVE Princess and hope to sail on them again.

Have a great time!

Whether or not you have to get off depends on the debarkation/embarkation port. In Europe, we didn't have to get off the ship.

In the US we did have to go through immigration. We did not declare anything to customs as we did not carry anything off the ship. You can only use your duty free customs allowance once every 30 days - so if you declare your duty free purchases after the first cruise, you cannot take another $800 duty free allowance on the second cruise - even if you didn't use up all your duty free allowance.

We are booked on 2 princess cruises to the Pacific NW in May 2010. How do we link the two together, Do you have to leave the ship? How does it work- any help would be great!

Have your TA link the booking with Princess. This way if you booked Guar then they will try to assign the same cabin if you booked the same categories.

The last night of the first leg you will be given detailed instructions of what will happen at the disembarkation day of the first leg. They will also sent your cruise card for the next leg to your cabin. You need to go through the process of "registering" that card (ie... get your picture taken)

From our experiences, you will be assembled at an assigned time (after the rest of the passengers have departed) in a common area. We have usually been assembled in the casino. They will then take you through immigration if required.... and lead you through the embarkation station to "register" your cruise card.
