Los Olas VS 17th Street

Looking at booking a hotel for 1 night pre-cruise and 1 night post cruise in either of these areas.

 

We are not beach people, enjoy a bit of shopping, a bit of sightseeing and a lot of restaurants. We do not care about free shuttles to port or airport as we prefer the convenience of taxis.

 

Looking at Embassy Suites or Grande on 17th Street or Riverside on Los Olas. Hyatt Pier 66 is also a possibility.

 

Comments on how these would compare? Bequia seems to prefer the Hyatt but is it a bit farther away from the restaurant/shopping zone?

Since the beach isn't your thing The Riverside would be a great choice for you. Plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from as well as quaint shops for shopping.

a, go with the Riverside Hotel and you will be very happy with the location.
