What's the weather like usually that time of year (Belize, Costa Maya)? Warm enough for sunbathing, snorkeling, etc.??

Does it get cool at night? Trying to think of packing but not overpacking.

Coming from the SC coast where it could easily be shorts weather still (or a rare cold spell).

Thanks.

weather is a topic that is discussed a lot!!!:D

we were there in dec, last year...day temps in the high 80s for belize. our ship didn't go to costa maya last year, hope to do the same cruise (this winter) just to go there.

the weeks before our cruise, the weather was a little cooler and more rain.

Should be plenty warm during the day on the islands. The water too will be comfortable. Water in the Atlantic upwards of Nassua and the like are pretty chilly until after March. But not so in the Caribbean, in my opinion.

You mentioned 'at night'. Now back on board, many find the heavy AC in the dining/show rooms to be quite chilly. So sweaters/wraps/etc are nice to have. If walking about deck at night, it will be windy (often very windy) and a light jacket is nice. But the actual temperature is still fairly warm.

Hot and humid. We've been in the area in both Jan and Feb. It's the tropics. Dress for your summer in SC. No cold spells. (Except for ac or windy conditions on deck in the evening. )

We hit Belize once in March when they had one of their worst cold spells. It was in the 50's at night and mid 70's in the day. The locals were freezing but it felt ok to us. The water was a little cool, but nothing unbearable. Most of the time it is 80 or 90.:D
