debsuedue Posted August 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2008 My son is an avid sk8er. He plans on taking his board on our next cruise so we can go to a sk8 park in Miami. Is there a place on board he can sk8? I seem to remember a place on Freedom that allowed roller blading. Thanks!!
Sue L Posted August 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2008 roller blading yes, boards no, they are not allowed on board. This is from the website Onboard Policies Print This Page Q: What items are not allowed onboard the cruise ship? A: Aside from the obvious (and illegal) items not allowed onboard, there are other items we cannot accommodate onboard. Prohibited items: Candles Coffee Makers Electrical Transformers (not including personal electronics: cell phone chargers, laptop power adapters etc.) Flammable Liquids and Explosives (such as fireworks) HAM radio equipment Hockey sticks Illegal Drugs Irons/Clothes Steamers Personal Alcohol Skateboards Surfboards
debsuedue Posted August 17, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted August 17, 2008 Thank you. That solves it! The board stays home. It will leave more room for other items in the luggage!

Skateboards are not allowed on board, and the inline skating track, that was found on the Voyager class ships, was removed from the Freedom class:mad:
cb at sea Posted August 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2008 That should free up about 10lbs in the luggage! Those boards can be heavy!
