Mckinley flight tour

Yes, I have done both. I pick the summit flight over and over, the glacier landing was more done for the ski plane experience, since the landing is just about all snow. My husband is a private pilot, the trip was great, once! Syracuse is in the snow belt, so I definately get plenty in New York State. :)

Has anyone used Talkeetna Aero Services for a Summit flight seeing? Would you recommend them? They will be having a 2 for 1 coupon in the 2009 Toursaver as I have been emailing them about next June. So far they have responded quickly and professionally.

Thanks ahead of time for any comments!!!:)

I haven't used them personally, but I know they are one of the 3 vendors most often recommended on these boards, particularly by BQ. The big 3 seem to be Talkeetna Air Taxi, Talkeetna Aero and K2 Aviation. And actually, I understand that TAT uses Aero for their summit flights, as TAT doesn't have the necessary airplanes for that trip.

We've booked Rust's out of Anchorage for the only flight they have to Denali. We'll be on a float plane and will make one landing somewhere for a photo op. I think we follow the route that will take us up to some of the glaciers but no closer than 6 miles to the summit.

Anybody have any experience with Rust's? Our flight day is September 7th.
