susieiam Posted August 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2008 Are there any beaches in Grand Cayman where a gal can go topless?
jean-lynd Posted August 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2008 No - it is illegal
bookbabe Posted August 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2008 I've found that it's even frowned upon to wear your swiwsuit around town (ie. off the beach) without a coverup. (Tourists do sometimes, but virtually never locals.) It's a very conservative island...
drew sailbum Posted August 26, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 26, 2008 jean-lynd is quite correct in stating topless sunbathing is illegal on Cayman's beaches. And to expand upon bookbabe's post, swimwear is not appropriate attire for anywhere but the beach or pool. Please cover up before going into any indoor restaurant (even Burger King) no matter how casual the restaurant may be.
