Amex cards in FP

We will be going on the PG as well as some pre-cruise time later in Sept.

 

In researching our credit card conversion fees, we were surprised that our AMEX fee was less than our other cards. We are wondering if most stores, restaurants etc accept credit cards, and if so do many take AMEX, or if they primarily accept MC/VISA.

Some take AMEX, a lot of places don't.

Once you leave the US Visa and MasterCard are the most accepted cards.

We have hardly ever seen Amex accepted except in large hotel chains over-seas.

Depends on where you are. We just returned from a nearly five year work assignment in England and used AMEX nearly everywhere across Great Britain and Europe including grocery chains, etc.
