I need help for a friend!

Hello,

This is my first post on the NCL boards, and I need some help. I have a friend who will be cruising the NCL Dream on September 28th. Boston to Bermuda. She is asking me if there is a way that she can determine when she will be in international waters? Is there a website that would show her path, and the time and date that she would be reaching those waters.

Thanks for all your help!

I am not sure what you are asking or why, but normally international waters are about 7 miles out to sea. Maybe someone else will have a better answer for you.

Unfortunately I'm probably not going to be of much help. I thought it was 12NM.

But one way of knowing is that she may want to walk by the casino and see when it opens:D (I believe that the casino and stores on foreign flagged ships cannot be open in US territorial waters)

Hello Again,

Well, I think the reason that this is important to her, is that she is contemplating taking her lap top, and thinks it might be less expensive to operate when she hit international waters......but then again, thats just a guess. Not really sure.

Thanks for you help, I sure do appreciate it.

She will find on one of the TV channels the position of the ship at any given time. Or take her Sat Nav from the car with her which will all so give your position

Her wireless internet connection will still be provided by the ship. The cost will be the same regardless of whether or not she is in international waters. Actually she may be able to tap into a local wireless provider when they are in dock and that might be cheaper than the ship.

For the heck of it, I sent an email to NCL asking the question adding so I know when the casino open since it isn't in US waters.

Their answer: A cruise ship would leave port, and the casino would open as soon as the ship was three miles offshore in international waters.
