takeavacation Posted September 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Ok - for some reason - my head just isn't keeping up today. I've been on MANY sailings (not just with RCL) -- but, I can't remember -- is the Muster drill before sailaway --- or after???? We leave for Disneyworld in a week and the Liberty on 10/4 -- and I'm trying to arrange for everyone to get together for a sailaway drink. Thanks for helping to put my head back on straight!!!

TravelerThom Posted September 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2008 My experience is that Muster drill is about 30 min prior to sailing.Generally true, but Regulations [Coast Guard? International?] require that the Muster drill be held within 24 hours of sailing. Several times because of delays in embarkation I have actually had Muster drills the morning AFTER sailing - glad the ship didn't sink the first night:eek:. Actually I'm glad it didn't sink ANY of the nights:D.

cb at sea Posted September 24, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2008 RCI always has muster BEFORE the ship leaves port.
PhoenixCruiser Posted September 24, 2008 #9 Share Posted September 24, 2008 RCI always has muster BEFORE the ship leaves port. I thought the ships that left San Juan late had their drill the next morning. It's fine as long as it is done within 24 hours. ###
