calenita Posted September 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2008 Would the outdoor pool on the Brilliance be open for a mid-November cruise out of Barcelona? Would it be heated?
cb at sea Posted September 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2008 Brilliance's pool are "solar" heated--no mechanical means to heat the pool! If the sun is shining, the water will warm up! The Solarium (adult pool) is enclosed, and will retain heat (it's sort of like a greenhouse), so that may be your option!

Sorry, but I don't think this is not accurate. I've sailed Radiance in Alaska and the main outdoor pool was definitely heated. I have to believe the same is true for all ships in her class, including Brilliance.
scorpiomum Posted September 24, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2008 i sailed on Brilliance in the med last november and it was definately not heated. even though the sun was shining it was pretty cold, way too cold for me. my son and dh had a swim though. as for the solarium pool, while its a lovely pool and spot, and yes was slightly heated, i couldnt stay in too long as i even found that too cold. and it wasnt just me, everyone else commented on it being still pretty cool too. uktraveller Posted September 24, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2008 We were surprised at how chilly the Solarium Pool water was on Brilliance, and that was in August! Ok when you got used to it, but  when you first stepped in!
