Leaving Tomorrow AMA Heartland Cruise

I am taking this same trip at roughly the same time next year--September 12. I am very interested in your comments and suggestions. Is this your first river cruise? If not, where have you cruised and on what lines? If this is your first cruise, please let me know which ocean cruise ships you have sailed on and liked. I am just trying to get a feel for the cruise experiences which you like. We are in our early 60's and have sailed Amadeus last September and found it to be very enjoyable. I am just wondering about this itinerary and the included tours.

Thanks,

Mom C

Mom C - we are also on the 9/12/09 Heartland cruise. Hopefully we can get a roll call started as we get closer to the trip. This will be our 1st river cruise of any kind and we are definitely looking forward to it. We will be a group of 4, in our mid to late 50's. Let's keep in touch!

Hi,

I have several other couples sailing with us. As of right now, there are 26 of us. How fun is that?? With the economy in the tank right now, I fear that some may cancel, but I hope not.

We live in Colorado; how about you?

Wow - 26! That sounds like fun. We are from California, just north of San Francisco.

Just a little information which might be of interest to you. In Prague, AMA is using the President Hotel or the Intercontinental Hotel--both centrally located in Prague. In Paris, it's the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I found this information interesting since I Googled them and looked at the rooms, amenities, etc.

Are you doing your air through AMA or getting it on your own?

Thanks for the hotel info. I will google as well.

I don't know how we are doing the air yet. I decided to wait awhile to see what prices I can get on my own. I can always sign up for their air later. How about you?
