Rare insidecabin Posted February 15, 2016 #4351 Share Posted February 15, 2016 some of the Princess TA are being offered as a b2b the 2pax rates are very good UK, might be some solo offers around, better value from the air with a longer trip. For air check Norwegian to Boston great rate on 1st April might be some going back if Boston offers good connections for you.
jlajr Posted February 16, 2016 #4352 Share Posted February 16, 2016 Keep in mind that studios have a single supplement vs regular insides.Sometimes a single in an inside is cheaper. And roomier. I wouldn't refer to single supplements when discussing prices for studios or other cabins intended and priced for solo occupancy (such as the Single Insides and Oceanviews on Costa ships). From what I can tell, supply and demand determines prices for studio and single cabins just like it does for other cabins (aka capacity-controlled, I think). Most ships have a smaller percentage of cabins intended and priced for solo occupancy, so they can be in relatively higher demand than standard double-occupancy inside cabins. Therefore, prices for the single cabins can at times be similar to or higher than solo occupancy of standard inside cabins.

Perfect example, there is a hosted singles cruise coming up next month, the studios were sold out , now they are back but $100 more than inside. coka Posted February 16, 2016 #4354 Share Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) NCL Breakaway sailing from NYBahamas Feb. 21-28, 2016 My solo cabin price for a BX (Bal. GTY) including the drink package and $100 Casino credit was $699 (doesn't include taxes/fees - $146.74 and drink package tips $86.94) for a total cost of $932.68. We booked three BX balconies for 749 (did not include taxes/fees/charges) and we received beverage package, dining package, and 100 casino credit (which is really 100 onboard credit). We are looking forward to seeing where we all end up! A fourth booked yet had to do handicapped cabin and she got the last one available...an oceanview for 849...she picked the beverage and dining but missed the 100 credit as it ended Sunday night. Even if I was sailing with my husband...I still would have picked two cabins...LOL If I had booked the studio a long time ago...I would call and say hey, put me in the spa balcony...that price this morning is cheaper than the studio cabin... coka Edited February 16, 2016 by coka

I'm with you, if I had booked a Studio cabin a while ago I would have also went for an upgrade since the studio cabin is so much more expensive than the Spa balcony or mini suite are now since the Single Supplement for most cabin categories are 0%. I'm still waiting to see what cabin I'll be assigned.

There are usually a coupe of RT each year if you search. the other option is regular spring/fall reloc TA with the QM2 to get you there or back. That would be amazing but I have only seen repositioning itineraries except for the Cunard crossings. For airfare be sure to check air with the cruiseline. Sometimes one way shows better fares then if you try to do an multi-city airfare itinerary so break it up and do one fare for the embarkation and one fare back home. Croptop Posted February 20, 2016 #4369 Share Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) The 10 July 2016 sailing of the Inside Passage with Tracy Arm Fjord on the Ruby Princess is currently showing a -5% solo supplement for an interior cabin. Price per person is listed as CDN$1302.10 (US$898) when booking as a solo (compared to CDN$1375.55/person when booking for two). That cruise is also part of the current "Twice as Nice" promo so there's a reduced deposit of $100 and an interior includes a US$75/person OBC (when you book as a solo, you get US$150 OBC). So tempting. Edited February 20, 2016 by Croptop

jmsnyc Posted February 21, 2016 #4373 Share Posted February 21, 2016 Anyone know on any last minute deals on shorter cruises out of Florida in two weeks - looking to go on a 3-7 day cruise out of either Miami, FLL or Orlando. Week of 3/6. Everywhere I search looks like 200% supp.
Sungold Posted February 21, 2016 #4374 Share Posted February 21, 2016 It might be tough because that is prime spring break season, but check the various cruise line sites and online travel agencies. I think Tuesdays are when the newest deals come out. If they reduce the price of the cruise enough, then I don't mind so much paying the supplement. But when I get a chance to look around, I'll post if I find something. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
