Hi, I am sorry.

I just assumed you could click on my name and see my review from 11/15.

I was wrong and cannot find a way to link it.

to make a long story short...it had serious mechanical issues that were ongoing at least in late dec 15 when i last checked.

many cruises..including mine in late nov. started late and ended early.

I pay for a balcony and i want to see the ocean each night...

not the Tampa parking lot.

1st night was overnight in tampa and the last night we were back in tampa at about 9pm.

when they do that to you...you are locked on the ship in port and most amenities are closed.

no shops..no casino.

they said propeller issues...but they also said it was the only time this had ever happened.

not true at least the 3 prior cruises and 3 after cruises all had the same thing happen.

so..if booking the Star..be sure to check the reviews from last weeks sailing before doing so.

Norwegian Star

May 1-8, 2016

sailing roundtrip from Copenhagen

inside guarantee

$699

(taxes $111.32)

FreeStyle perks (beverage package, dining package, shore excursion credit or internet package) are available for inside cabin booking. Although, I am reading that those will expire, so today is the "last" day to snag a perk with an inside cabin booking.

This fare is still available. But this sailing will dip inside the 30-day window very shortly and I would not expect the perks to be available after April 1.

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic, but thought folks here might know the answer to this one: I thought I heard there was a happy hour in the studio lounge on the Norwegian Breakaway. Anyone know anything about this. Thanks.

Drink specials? That I don't know about because I had UBP. But there was a daily gathering and a bartender was there.

Hi y'all! On Tuesday I booked a Deluxe Veranda (1C) on the Celebrity Eclipse TA ON 4/17/16 for $1440. I'm pretty pleased, as for the last few weeks they had been listing their cheapest Veranda at over $3000. I noticed yesterday that ther:e was a Concierge-class Veranda on the Penthouse Deck going for about $1500.;)

Anyone else joining me on the Eclipse TA this spring? :)

I have been on the Breakaway and Epic and attended the social gathering in the Studio Lounge almost every evening. The bartender is there to make it convenient for attendees to purchase drinks at whatever the going price is.

I was on the epic in Feb and spent and attended the studio gatherings and unless you had a ubp you wer expected to pay for your drinks. The barman was there 5/7pm. Heading on the getaway in 23/4/17 for a b2b going to Copenhagen.

It would be better to fly into Hobby Airport which is closer than Bush International. A taxi is approx. $60 but Uber should be cheaper.

One other option would be to check the Roll Call to see if you can share ride with other cruisers.

Thank you very much.

Oh. I have a friend who went on the Epic a couple of years ago and told me about a happy hour in the Studio Lounge where there were drinks at reduced prices. It seems that don't do this anymore.

I'm not saying it didn't happen-- just that it was a year ago, and I had the unlimited drink package. I know I had cocktails there, but since I wasn't paying for them, it didn't really register.

I was checking out the solo rates on NCL. I've only sailed on Carnival. Can you purchase a drink package and get the solo supplement? It was not an option during the mock bookings for a 7 day cruise in April. I feel like with the drink package on NCL; Carnival ends up the cheaper option with their drink package and no solo supplement. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure however sometimes NCL has the drink package as one of the pick 4 options.

The August 20 cruise on the Emerald Princess still available today! I booked a vista suite 14 days roundtrip from London for $2998 , far cheaper than interior!! I still do not understand the pricing. Two people in the same suite would be $12996

Could this be a mistake? Will it be honored?

right now and for the past year Carnival is way more expensive for a single than NCL.

as for the drink package many NCL deals come with it.

you are looking for this month..April?

the Getaway has the drink package standard...as does the breakaway I believe.

but, many of the NCL solo cruise fares are so cheap right now..it may pay to just buy the package if you get a last minute steal.

if you buy other deals 30 days out or more they will come with the drink package.

when are you looking at going and out of where?

florida?

The issue isn't the solo supplement. The pick 4 isn't available on most ships within 30 days of sailing.

Going in May, late April if the price is right. Its affordable to go out of Miami or NY.

So I can book solo and add the drink package after. How much is the package.

It's like $93 a day (which includes grats).

Breakaway, escape, and getaway can still be booked with the package (less than 30 days). It pretty much doubles the price of the cruise to buy it separately.
