flying US Air from Toronto to San Juan

Good day everyone,

I will be flying US Airways from Toronto to San Juan with a connection in Philly. Can anyone tell me if we would clear customs in Toronto or when we got to Philly? And....do we have to collect our luggage in Philly and drop it off again, or will our luggage be taken from Toronto straight to San Juan?

Thanks :)

Erin

I believe you clear customs in Philly. You will claim your luggage, go thru customs then drop it off for the rest of the journey.

Incorrect.

Flights from Toronto (YYZ) to the USA all pre-clear customs and immigration at YYZ BEFORE you depart. Allow extra time for that procedure on your departure.

When you arrive at PHL, your connection will be just like any USA domestic connect - leave your plane and head for your next gate. Your luggage will make the same connect that you do (hopefully) and you won't see your bags until SJU.
