Sushi on VOS?

Recommended Posts

:D We are booked on the Voyager of the Seas in March and I was wondering if they have a Sushi Bar? We have cruised many times on another line and are used to our 4pm Sushi. Any chance we can continue the tradition and if so, what time is it usually open?

I really don't understand how good, fresh fish can't be found on a cruise ship.

Even just some basic tuna/salmon nigiri would go a long way for me.

There must be something I don't know (actually, there are LOTS of things I don't know :o )....why would a cruise ship have fresh fish any more than any place else? Specifically, tuna and salmon on a ship that cruises the Caribbean for almost half the year?

Well that's my issue.. why does a cruise ship have fresh fish LESS than everywhere else? I can get sushi in central Texas and I can get sushi in Nashville.. why can I not get sushi on a boat? if you can manage to get sushi in Florida, why can they not load sushi-grade fish on the boat while in port?

The "sushi" they served in Jade was your basic California roll.

I had some sushi on the Carnival Fantasy.. once was enough for me.

Good sushi is something to die for. Bad sushi... well... ;)

I can eat bad pizza, burgers, whatever... bad fish? That is another story.

Thanx everyone, looks like we might need to start a new tradition at 4pm. Hum, what to do at 4pm? To early for dinner, too late for lunch. Ice Cream!

you can always go to cafe promenade for a snack and people watching or at that time there are snacks, like a faux "afternoon tea" in the windjammer. they have build your own taco and nacho station, yummy warm scones and usualy some sort of warm bread pudding with vanilla sauce or warm apple crumble type thing as well as other things like burgers, dogs and fries.
