I would like to konw how wide is precisely the entrance channel,

 

- between the monolith and Ravn/Raven Rock,

 

where is sufficient depth to navigate safely for a expedition vessel to entrance the caldera / Port Foster.

If it wasn't wide enough, the ship wouldn't go in. What might keep a ship from going in is wind and tide.

 

From memory, the problem is width and depth. 100 metres rings a bell. The Nordkapp scraped the bottom rather than the sides of the entry.
