Husband and I are on the serenade of the seas in two weeks and we havent booked any excursions! he just wants to sit on a beach and then roll back to the ship but I would like to see/do some fun stuff. we are 27 and 31, he likes adventure, I pretend to like it for him (haha)... looking for suggestions... ship goes to barbados, st lucia, st thomas, st maarten (been there - i think we will stay on board that day), antigua,

please help!

also, are there any beaches we can cab to and just walk on or do we have to be a part of an excursion?

jmdmd,

you may have more luck if you go to each individual port of call, that is where I found more of my info.

With that said, this is what we are doing a week later on the same ship:

St. Thomas, we were told that going over to St John is worth the time, as Trunk Bay is suppose to be the best beach. So a group from our roll call is traveling together to get over there.

St Maarten: we are just heading to Orient Beach and playing the day by ear

Antigua: Eli's Eco Tour (do a search, all kinds of reviews, private, no with ship)

St Lucia: Cosol's tour, again do a search

Barbados: Silvermoon Tour, again we found his info on the Barbados port of call

Hope this give you somewhere to start

I'm on the same ship and itinerary in December. Here are my excursions if any interest you.

St. Lucia: Cosol Tours (http://www.cosol-tours.com/tours.html)

Antigua: Adventure Antigua Eco-Tour (http://www.adventureantigua.com/tour.html#EcoTour)

Barbados: Glory Tours 'Best of Barbados' Full Day Land & Sea Tour (http://www.glorytours.org/best.html)

St. Thomas: Nightwind Yacht 7-hour day sail to St. John (http://www.stjohndaysail.com)

In St. Maarten I'll probably visit Marigot and then spend some time enjoying the ship. Been there before so I can take the day to relax.

We, too, just find a beach and do it on our own. Shopping...ditto. Most ports have beaches that are easy to get to via bus or cab. No need to pay for an "excursion".

Get a guide book on your ports--you will find what's available, how to get there, what it will cost....everything.

Libraries have them, and they are free!
