mrobinson Posted October 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2008 We are in port from 7 -6 pm and plan to spend the day at Lobster Alive. What time should we plan to go there in the morning? I don't want to get there too early but want to get there before crowds. Does 10:00 am sound okay. Also is it better to just take a cab there or walk? You should be fine at 10 and shared a cab at the dock. It's 100 feet to the left of the Boatyard entrance. Enjoy!
Aplmac Posted October 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2008 You should be fine at 10 and shared a cab at the dock. It's 100 feet to the left of the Boatyard entrance. Enjoy! Yeahh.. even 10's a bit early for them, but get them up and going.:) You can always stroll the lovely Carlisle Bay beach out towards the big(obvious) Hilton Hotel out on the point and back to Lobster Alive ...by which time Arty may have gotten out of bed. It's a tough life playing piano in the V.S.O.P. Dixieland Jazz Band you know not to mention several beers, nightly to counter dehydration caused by all that thirsty work :D From the pier, thru the Port Complex, out the Gatehouse, thru Bridgetown across the bridge and the short way up Bay Street to Lobster Alive and Boatyard(right next door) is probably 1.5 miles all told, if not a bit more. If you are a walking/exercise freak, by all means do it but otherwise, you're probably better off catching a cab (outside the Port's gatehouse, try to avoid the guys INside) for a few dollars ..it's probably worth it but a lot depends on how hot the day is/your Night Before/cloud cover, etc. _____________________________________ I've got a few pics posted at my website http://www.*****.com/scenes.html where there's a link to Lobster Alive. Take a look.

Take a look. Do you know the current price for chairs, umbrella? Do either include a drink? I think I've read from previous posts such a free drink is included for each rental item. True? mrobinson Posted November 7, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted November 7, 2008 All I know is what I've also read in previous posts - I've read that for $15 you get 2 chairs, umbrella and either 2-3 drinks. Not bad - of course my husband wants to do jet ski's - so we might look into that also
