SOOKIENY Posted November 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Trying to choose between Hotel Continental Palaceta, Hotel Continental and the NH Duc De La Victoria in Barcelona. Has anyone stayed in either of these hotels recently? Any advise would be great.
webecruzin2 Posted November 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Hi, Yes we stayed in the Palacette last May and it was very very nice. It really looks like a tiny palace inside. The rooms are small but very clean and mostly done in pink (?). But the best part is the 24 hour snack buffet. They have beer and wine and bottled water and soft drinks, good breakfast choices and different snacks throughout the day and night. Very good value and the hotel is in a central location. Short walk to Las Ramblas and about 20 minute walk to Sagrada Familia. The front desk was very helpful, especially when my husband had to rush back to the hotel from the airport when we realized we left our laptop there. We would definitely stay there again when in Barcelona. Let me know if you have any more questions.
aussiecruzer Posted November 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2008 We also stayed at the Hotel Continental Palacete last year and found it great. The rooms are a bit small and quite pink, but it is full of character, very central and added bonuses are the 24 hour free drinks and snacks buffet, and the free internet with 2 terminals for hotel patrons to use.
